Our book summary area is not quite ready to go as we continue to gauge interest in this feature. We anticipate that it will provide objective, detailed, thorough summaries of books that are of interest to Christians.
Books chosen for a thorough summary will fall into one of three categories. The first is books that are intended for Christians, are published by Christian publishers, are consistent with the Bible and are recommended by Discerning Reader. These are books that were "thinking books" and were groundbreaking in some way. The second category is books that are intended for Christians, are published by Christian publishers, and though exceedingly popular, are not necessarily recommended by Discerning Reader. These are titles that Christians should, at the very least, be aware of. The third category is books that are not written by or for Christians, but are somehow relevant to them. These are books that have targeted Christianity and are, thus, of interest to Christians or popular books that are written to oppose Christianity. With books in these latter two categories we will attempt, after providing a subjective summary, to help Christians think rightly about the topics raised.
