Robert E. Picirilli has a master?s degree in Theology and a Ph.D. in New Testament, with a focus on the Greek text. He taught Greek, New Testament interpretation, and introductory philosophy for nearly 50 years and is now retired as Professor Emeritus at Free Will Baptist Bible College (Nashville, Tennessee), where he also served as Registrar and Academic Dean. Current research interests include verbal aspect theory and the use of participles in Mark and Luke, exploring issues of classification, aspect, time, and Aktionsart. He continues as general editor of the Randall House Bible Commentary series on the New Testament.
