Ellen Elwell

LLEN BANKS ELWELL (b. 1952) Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Ellen Elwell attended the Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory of Music, where she received the Bachelor of Music degree in Piano. Ellen is an accomplished pianist and former student of Jasha Bjankini and Denis Moffat. She is a veteran piano teacher, and specialist in the area of beginning students. Also a fine violinist, she studied with Perry Crafton and Alan Heatherington. A member of the Music Teachers National Association, Ellen is uniquely qualified to contribute a fine series of methods books to the Hope catalog. These products are: BEGINNER PRAISE (for piano) Vols. I, II, and III, PIANO PRAISE Vols. I & II, BEGINNER PRAISE FOR VIOLIN and BEGINNER PRAISE FOR CHRISTMAS. For the beginning and progressing student, these books contain songs that are learned at church and then studied in their lessons at home.
