Donald Brake

After graduating from seminary, Dr. Brake, his wife, Carol, and their family spent two terms as missionaries in Ethiopia. With the successful coup of Haile Selassie and the installation of the communist government, the Brakes were forced to return to the U.S. Dr. Brake accepted a teaching position at Multnomah Bible College and Biblical Seminary and later assumed the deanship of the seminary. He accepted the invitation to serve as president of Jerusalem University College (formerly the Institute of Holy Land Studies) from 1990-93. His love for history, geography, and archaeology made the experience in Jerusalem very rewarding. Most recently, Dr. Brake served as pastor of a church in Carrollton, Texas. Dr. Brake is a collector of ancient Bibles and manuscripts in Greek, Latin, and English. He is an avid sports fan.
