Diana Davis

Diana's hometown is Fort Worth, TX. Born the oldest of four children, she graduated from Dallas Baptist University, where she met and married Steve Davis. Steve and Diana served as a pastor and pastor’s wife in a brand new church plant, medium sized church and large church.

They now reside in Indianapolis, where Steve serves as the Executive Director for the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana. A popular women’s conference speaker, Diana has ministered to women’s groups internationally, and she especially loves encouraging pastor’s wives and deacons’ wives.

Diana has been a frequent contributor to numerous Christian publications, including Let’s Worship, Deacon Magazine and numerous Baptist state papers. Her enthusiasm for God’s work in the local church inspired her to write a syndicated column called “Fresh Ideas,” sharing simple ideas with churches across the country. In her new book, Fresh Ideas (B&H Publishing 2007), these ideas are gathered and categorized, offering a thousand ideas for growing a thriving church.

She is currently working on two other book projects about women’s ministry and deacon wives. Diana lives with her husband in downtown Indianapolis. They enjoy Colorado vacations, hiking, walking their Sheltie, Prancer, and eating Mexican food.
