Bryan Chapell

Bryan Chapell, President and Professor of Practical Theology. B.S.J., Northwestern University; M.Div., Covenant Theological Seminary; Ph.D., Southern Illinois University. Dr. Chapell has served as President of Covenant Seminary since 1994. He began teaching at Covenant Seminary in 1984 after ten years in pastoral ministry. Before becoming President, he served for six years as Vice President for Academics and Dean of Faculty. He is much sought after as a speaker in churches and conferences around the country. Christ-Centered Preaching has established him as one of the nation's most recognized teachers of homiletics. Dr. Chapell teaches the introductory homiletics courses and several practicums, giving every M.Div. student the opportunity to study under him. In addition to Christ-Centered Preaching, Dr. Chapell has written: The Promises of Grace, In the Grip of Grace, Using Illustrations to Preach with Power, Each for the Other, The Wonder of It All, 1&2 Timothy: To Guard the Deposit (with R. Kent Hughes), Holiness by Grace, the children's book I'll Love You Anyway and Always, and many articles.
