
Professor Arie Leder's career began with a position as a pastor in Ontario, Canada. From there he spent eight years as a missionary with Christian Reformed World Missions. He served in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica in varying positions including pastor and teacher. From there, he moved back to Canada as interim pastor, and pursued graduate studies in Toronto. Professor Leder has been at Calvin Theological Seminary since 1987 and teaches Old Testament Studies. His goal is to take the teachings of the Old Testament and help students to see how these teachings inform Reformed theology. Professor Leder's areas of special interest are the Pentateuch and church architecture. He is married with four children.
