Dr. Belcher came to CIU to teach Bible and theology in 1976 after 20 years of pastoral ministry in Illinois and Missouri, and also following two years in full-time evangelism. In the passing of the years at CIU he added courses in Greek, Pastoral Ministries and Church History. In the mid-1990s, he became director of the Pastoral Ministries program. He travels frequently to minister the Word nationally and internationally. His writings include books on various subjects, such as theology, Greek, etc. He also has written a series of theological novels, which are selling all over the world, and some of which have been translated into several foreign languages. In addition, he has written the script for more than a dozen presentations of the lives of great missionaries in narration and song, which he presents in churches and at various conferences. He delights to take students to lunch off-campus to discuss theology, to mentor them, or just to enjoy a good time of fellowship in the Lord.
