
Mike Root graduated from Harding University, earned an M.A. in history from George Mason University and his Th.M. from Trinity Theological Seminary. He has held ministries in Benton, Arkansas; Fairfax, Virginia; Ft. Worth, Texas; Antioch Tennessee; and is currently Senior Minister of Florissant Church of Christ in Florissant, Missouri. He is the author of a half-dozen books, including Unbroken Bread: Healing Worship Wounds, Empty Baskets: Offering Your Life As Worship, Rev, I Knew That: Remembering Life’s Lessons From Proverbs, Life’s Cobwebs: Breaking Free From the Entrapments of the World, and Spilt Grape Juice: Rethinking the Worship Tradition. He has three married children, five grandchildren, and is married to a registered nutritionist but still loves artery-clogging food on occasion.
