Tuesdays are for Reviews

Another Tuesday, another set of reviews.

This week we've got four reviews by two reviewers. Mark Tubbs offers a review of Leland Ryken's How To Read the Bible as Literature. This review seems particularly applicable as it follows soon after the release of Ryken's new Literary Study Bible. Mark also reviews Dynamic Dads by Paul Pettit. He calls Pettit "a man’s man" and says this book is a "succinct and impassioned call to dynamic fathering."

Meanwhile, I provided a review of John Ensor's Doing Things Right in Matters of the Heart, a book which "has the paternal feel of an older, wiser man writing a concerned letter to those who are younger and in need of counsel. Ensor’s advice is good and those who heed it will be pleased that he wrote this book and that they took the time to read it. I recommend this book to teens, to young adults, to parents and to anyone who is concerned with doing things right in matters of the heart." I also review Erwin Lutzer's excellent new book, Slandering Jesus--a title that seeks to correct six lies that people tell about Jesus.

We'll be back next week...
