Tuesdays are for Reviews

It's Tuesday and that means we've got some new reviews for you.

From Mark Tubbs comes two reviews. He first reviews George Barna's Revolution saying that this book "rises and falls on Barna’s stunted and anemic ecclesiology. In fact, I would go so far as to say it does great violence against the doctrine of the Church – not that Barna will prevail against the local church." He turns also to David Benthall's The Company You Keep and, while he points out some of the book's strengths, he has to ultimately conclude that he "cannot praise a book all but lacking in Christ-centeredness."

Ian Clary, meanwhile, brings a review of Art and the Christian Mind by Laurel Gasque. "For Christians who love the arts and want to learn how their faith in Christ can inform artistic expression, Hans Rookmaaker should be one of the first to consult. Laurel Gasque’s work is a great place to begin to learn about Rookmaaker and about a Christian view of art."

Finally, I [Tim Challies] provide two reviews. The first is of Lou Priolo's Pleasing People and the second is of John Younts' Everyday Talk. Both titles receive positive reviews and both are worth adding to any library.
