There are many proposed features of Discerning Reader that we are not quite ready to roll out. One of the ones we are most excited about is Mini-Reviews. These will be very short book reviews that will be suitable for including in church bulletins or for archiving in a church library. They will give an at-a-glance look at a particular book, giving people a very brief overview of the book's content and an idea of what audience is most likely to enjoy it. We expect churches will want to use them either to showcase books that are currently available to borrow in the church library or to showcase books the members of the congregation may wish to purchase.
We have put together an initial batch and are offering them here as a free download. You can download them right here. We would be very interested in your feedback about whether you find these helpful and if or how you will use them in your church.
